Abstract

The present study has made a comparative study of the attitude towards secularism of students and girls studying in higher education. In the present study, survey method has been used for descriptive research. In the present study, all the students studying in the third year of graduation (Arts and Science category) have been considered as population. In order to obtain the necessary data for the present study, 200 students of the third year studying in the undergraduate level (Arts and Science section) have been selected for the sample by random sampling method. In the present study, two types of scales have been used for collection of data - attitude scale towards secularism - Dr. RK Ojha. The t-test was used for the analysis of the collected data in the present study. The attitude of the students towards secularism remains neutral because the students are more exposed to the larger section of the society than the girls and they are more in contact with the people of other religions than the girl students whereas the girl students live in a limited circle. Due to which there is a difference in the thinking of boys and girls. This is the reason that there is a difference in their secularism also.
